Mornings can be rough. Sometimes it’s hard to motivate yourself, especially when the covers are so warm and all you want to do is lie around for a few hours. But have you ever stopped to think about how much more satisfying your morning could be if you got more accomplished?
The downside of slow mornings is that, before you know it, your day is half over and you still have a ton of work on your plate. I’ll tell you a secret: There’s an easier way.
Create a morning routine.
You know how Newton’s First Law says “an object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion”? It kind of applies here, too. When you start off your morning productively, you set the tone for the rest of the day. Often, that momentum will stick with you, and by the time the day’s over, you feel more accomplished.
How? It’s easy:
- Prioritize all your daily tasks.
- Create a morning schedule (leave wiggle room to make sure you can complete your goals).
- Be consistent.
Now, this doesn’t mean I’m expecting you to work all this out every morning — feel free to do it the night before, or even a week ahead. It may take some practice. But once you get into a regular habit, it will likely become easier over time.
As long as you create a routine that works for you, you can make each morning feel amazing with a boost of efficiency. Just watch yourself become a powerhouse of productivity. You’ve got this.
